850 Million people today are severely malnourished and the effect on our children?  A child under the age of 5 dies every 5 seconds!

The solution is a revolutionary food packet that’s been developed by some of the world’s leading food scientists at Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland.  This one packet provides six nutritionally-complete servings to feed the starving children around the world as well as the hungry here at home, and all for just 10 cents per serving!

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION
TO WORLD HUNGER

Kids Against Hunger is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide fully nutritious food to impoverished children around the world.  Feeding programs, orphanages, schools, and clinics are the direct paths we use to feed children.

We are completely volunteer-driven, packaging and preparing food packets for distribution.

Realizing that everyone can have an impact, our program was created to give people the opportunity to have a hands-on part in ending starvation!  Very little sacrifice is required on your end, yet the results are tremendous.  We work locally with the Food Bank and the programs they support to FIRST distribute food locally to the hungry of our community.  Nearly 10% of Lincoln lives at or below the poverty level, a third of them are children.

This program allows us to support our local community and our children.  The remaining food is distributed to Third World Countries with astronomical rates of poverty, disease, malnutrition and hopelessness.

Our food packets are
truly life-saving.

Through our partnership with the Orphan Grain Train, an International aid organization, we can package our meals for just 10 cents a serving as they provide International shipping and directly manage the distribution of our food packets utilizing Non-Governmental Organizations to ensure that our food reaches those in need directly.  Learn more at www.ogt.org

GOALS

Our goal is to package 100,000 meals EVERY month!  Children in Refugee Camps are lucky to eat once every 3 days.  So consider that our 1.2 million meals (100,000 meals/month X 12 months) can feed approximately 10,000 children (once every 3 days) a year – which means we can PREVENT 10,000 children from starving to death every year!

To meet our goals we need $10,000 per month for food costs (just about everything else is donated by our dedicated group of volunteers) and $400 for utilities.
