Dear God, you are my God,
and I will worship you.
Today I'll put one foot in front of the other and walk through my tasks. And with each step I'll praise you, Lord, for carrying me forward, for pushing me onward, for leading me to the place I'm meant to be.
Stay my tongue when rude words
are ready to fly.
Move my heart when someone more needy
than I asks for my help.
Remind me that Friday is not a gateway to leisure, but a springboard into fellowship opportunities with my family and friends.
Show me what wholeness means. And then, open my eyes to ways I can exemplify not only love, but Christian love.
